New Kids Klub San Gabriel / Rosemead Location!

On Thursday September 4th 2008 Kids Klub San Gabriel/Rosemead opened it’s doors to it’s first customers: 35 bright-eyed, eager children  ranging in age from 10 wks to 8 yrs!
It was a long drawn-out process that took over 11 months from start to finish.  There were lots of road blocks, challenges, set backs, delays, and cost over-runs along the way, but we finally made our dream of a second center come true.

The facility looks outstanding and we never would have made it without the help from our contractors.  Tony Germana (Debbie Rudman’s step-father) came out of retirement and moved back to the San Gabriel
Valley
to help us get the project going.  He supervised the beginning half of the project and then handed the project over to Nelson Pi of Nelson Construction.  Tony was amazing and I can’t thank him enough.
Nelson and his crew worked tirelessly to get everything done, even over many weekends.  His talent and experience really made the difference in turning this building into a wonderland for kids.  I would highly recommend Nelson to any parent or business owner needing a General Contractor for any job – he can be reached at (626) 523-2052 – you won’t be disappointed!  A big thanks goes out to
Nelson for all of his hard work!
One of our Kids Klub parents Juan Yvanes of Altadena Plumbing handled all of the plumbing for us and did a great job – if you need  a plumber for anything, give him a call at (626) 786-6995.  Our appreciation goes out to Juan (or Chico as we call him) for everything he does at both centers!
Bambi’s brother, Joe Brown, was also an incredible help during the construction working by my side everyday to get all of the detailed work done.  Examples of Joe’s talents can be found in the rock wall in the science room,
Hoppy’s General Store, and Hoppy’s Home.  Thanks Joe for being my
right hand!
Both Salvador Cabral and Arturo De Santiago, Sr. were there everyday for 11 months working to get all the projects, cleaning, painting, and other jobs done.  They both did an outstanding job – thank you!
Of course all of our staff at the center helped in the final days stocking cabinets, decorating bulletin boards, and getting the center ready for children.  Many of the staff in Pasadena helped as well to get the staff trained to work at SGR.
Vivian Leis, in her new role as Regional Executive Director, has been working closely with Mary Peralta-
Carmona, the Director of KKsgr to make sure everything came off perfectly on the first day.  Gabby Marias helped train Sandra Cabral to be the front office manager, and Angela Henderson worked with Martha Kouyoumdjian who is the Assistant Director for the infants. Debbie Rudman as Regional School Age Director has been training
Albert Hernandez to run the school age component.  Kelly Crain, my assistant and Admissions Director for both centers, has been working non-stop to make SGR a reality.  From working with the city on permits to calling parents to explain why we’re not open yet – she did it all – thank you Kelly, your amazing!
We will be extending our grand opening discounts of 10% off tuition for 1 year for families that start at KKsgr through the end of September.  We’ll also extend our referral bonus of a $100 credit on your bill for
referring a family that starts at KKsgr to 9/30.
We will be having a Grand Opening Carnival and Open House at KKsgr on Saturday October 4th from 11:00am until 3:00pm.  Everyone is  invited, and all rides and food will be complimentary.  We will have a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncers and much more!
Once again, I would like to thank everyone that played a part in making Kids Klub San Gabriel/Rosemead a reality.  I never could have done it alone!
